Overall the ASUS M4 Gene-Z performs so well it is not fair to compare it with uATX form factor boards. This board stands up to full size ATX boards, laughs at them while it kicks sand in their face and then goes and games some more. The GeneZ gets a solid gold award 99.09% positive. Nothing wrong with this board. Excellent features, priced well, solid clocker and reliable as all get out. (benched excessively at 5.5). No way could this setup get anything but a Techreaction Gold award.

ASUS has recently been towards the front of the pack with its GPU Tweak overclocking utility which gives you a lot of control over the frequencies and voltages you want to tweak. The out-of-box performance out of the ASUS Radeon HD 7970 was far above the previous generation's Radeon HD 6970 video card. …One of the more impressive features of this video card was the room we had to overclock, and the performance that we received from it.  ASUS impressed us with its reference version of the AMD Radeon HD 7970.

Asus has shown us another solid product with the DRW-24B3LT. This well-rounded drive can write to a recordable DVD at up to 24x and testing showed that it's not only fast, it can also produce consistently reliable discs. Everything I tossed at it could be read and/or written to without issue. In terms of noise, it operates very quietly and I could not hear it while watching a DVD movie. …you really can't go wrong with this DVD-RW drive. It will provide everything you need to burn CD's and DVD's until you're ready to take the plunge on Blu-Ray.

ASUS' quality is apparent in this board. All the components are high-grade and placed perfectly. The board performed flawlessly during testing, turning in the same performance as other ASUS X79 Express-based motherboards. …the board is replete with useful features you'd expect from ASUS, such as Fan Expert, Overclocking Assistant, and Turbo V Evo. These features allow the knowledgeable user to fine-tune their system so that it better fits their needs. If you fit the demographic ASUS is targeting with this board, I think you'll like it.

For as little as $305, Asus' P9X79 Pro provides the best overall performance and best memory overclocking of the boards tested today.

Overall I have fallen in love with this board. Compared to the other 990FX board I have reviewed, …it goes to show how much of a difference there is between the big time players and the small timers. …this board is worth every cent, and twice that. The options and utilities you get with the Sabertooth 990FX are far superior than those that you get from any other manufacture. So if you want a board that is going to deliver performance and reliability to the maximum, …then grab yourself a Sabertooth 990FX…
