Green Power Technology

ASUS LCD Monitors (VH192/ VH196) feature green power technology that uses just two lamps, resulting in more than 20% reduction in power consumption. With just two lamps used, the use of mercury is greatly reduced compared to other LCD monitors, contributing to a greener environment. Additionally, it is equipped with an advanced optical film that delivers 300nits brightness, providing uncompromised brightness and power savings.

Energy Star Qualified LCD Monitors

LCD monitors must meet stringent requirements in On, Sleep, and Off Modes in order to earn the ENERGY STAR.

• In On Mode, the maximum allowed power varies based on the computer monitor's resolution.
• In Sleep Mode, computer monitor models must consume 2 watts or less.
• In Off Mode, computer monitor models must consume 1 watt or less.

In all, ENERGY STAR qualified LCD monitors consume from 25–60% less power than other generic models (depending on usage), saving more than $115 over the life of the products.
