Put the Excitement of High Resolution Digital Entertainment and Computing on Center Stage
Fremont, CA: January 6, 2007 - In both computing and entertainment, content increasingly available in high definition up to native HD resolution has created a whole new level of visual experience. This new high resolution entertainment and gaming experience allows people to reach the heights of excitement, awe, and joy on various type of displays. ASUS is at the forefront of manufacturing products that generate, process, and display high resolution content well enough to move the human heart. ASUS will showcase the following products at CES which will dramatically raise people’s expectations of visual satisfaction.
XG Station
When traveling, users prefer thin and light notebook designs and long battery life. At home, they prefer the video processing power a dedicated graphics card brings. With the XG station, users can enjoy the best of both worlds. The XG Station is the world’s first external graphics card station for notebook computers. Equipped with Express Card interface, USB 2.0 and Dolby headphones, the XG station seamlessly integrates notebook computing with PC graphics power.

Gaming Notebooks
Every inch of ASUS’ G1 gaming notebook is designed with the serious gamer in mind. It looks exactly the way the ultimate gaming notebook should look, and is loaded with extras tailor made for the mobile gamer, such as a gaming keyboard, a webcam, a matching carrying bag and mouse, a customizable LED screen, and more. A powerful dedicated graphics engine and high-end Intel® dual core processing come together to give users an experience that will renew their passion for gaming. G1 displays games in 1680 x 1050 resolution, a level of clarity and detail most people have never experienced before. G2 offers the same stunning level of visual experience with a 17” Color Shine screen. Its 8 millisecond response time gives games the advantage they need. Both models feature Splendid Video Enhancement technology for better contrast, brightness, skin tone and color saturation.

Mobile Entertainment Centers
The W2P gives users an HD DVD drive to play their HD resolution entertainment, and a huge 17” 1920 x 1200 Color Shine and Crystal Shine screen to watch it on. Its sound system is premium - Dolby-certified 5.1 surround sound with an integrated subwoofer. Put it all together in a brushed aluminum chassis with the most powerful graphics processing engine, and you have a platform for enjoying the ultimate in mobile entertainment and HD content.
Digital Home
ASUS’ Asteio D22 digital audio/ video barebone center will access, record and play back your favorite movies in up to 1080p resolution. It offers the full functionality of a PVR (personal video recorder) with time shift, a location-free Internet media streaming server, and a Core™ Duo PC. With the Asteio D22, users can play high definition games as well. Its whisper quiet (26dB) performance and attractive design make it a beautiful addition to your living room environment.

Graphics Cards
ASUS’ lineup of powerful graphics cards includes a range of solutions for every segment. The 7600 GT/HDTI features HDMI output, which allows 1080p transmission of video as well as 6 channel uncompressed audio, critical features for a PC serving digital content to your home theater.
Monitors
As widescreens become dominant, 1680 x 1050 resolution for 20” and 22” monitors is expected to become the mainstream. ASUS recently introduced the MW221U and MW201U monitors for wider high-resolution screens to bring customers 1680 x 1050 resolution on a large screen and at a very competitive price.
