Recycling Program Makes Protecting the Environment Easy
Fremont, CA: January 6, 2007 - When most people think of ASUS, they think of new technology, exciting products, and leading performance. But while making products that give people pride and excitement is central to the company’s purpose, ASUS has long realized that great products must be balanced with great principles, particularly when it comes to caring for the environment. “E-Waste” composed of such items as computers, notebooks, and other electronic equipment often contains hazardous chemicals that can be harmful to the environment when disposed in a landfill. By recycling, the metals, plastics, and components found in old computers will be broken down and reused to make new products. And the environment will be protected from any uncontrolled release of harmful chemicals.
